Aluminum railing combined with stainless steel cables. A great compliment to a great view.

This aluminum railing project was brought to us by a home builder seeking a cable railing solution for a customer. Because of the detailed nature of a cable railing he opted to forgo having his usual deck crew do the install and turned it over to us. After meeting with the client and determining the design goals a coated aluminum railing was selected. This Aluminum railing  is manufactured by SAPA anodizing in Portland, Oregon. My company has been installing this product for 15 years. Budgetary concerns added pickets for the stairways over cables bringing the cost into line. Because of the existing support posts we chose a surface mount post.  Fascia mounting is a good option but, doing so with the existing posts would have created a “busy” appearance. We used our very attractive discrete cable ends to ensure a very purposeful and sleek look to the cable install. You can see more about our cable products here. The black color chosen was very appropriate for the striking paint choices in and outside the home. The install took two and one half days to complete and left the customers very pleased.
